Starmer to Urge Allies on Advanced Missile Systems for Ukrainian Forces at London Conference

Britain's leader plans to press allies to provide Ukrainian forces with additional long-range missiles to strike Moscow's positions during talks in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside the so-called "coalition of the willing", comprising more than 20 of supporting nations who have agreed to provide the Ukrainian government defense assurances once hostilities pause is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for weeks for additional extended-range systems from allied countries, a step that Moscow has warned would escalate the conflict.

President Zelensky is coming from Brussels, where he held talks with European Union officials on yesterday seeking economic assistance.

"The only person engaged in the ongoing war who does not want to end the fighting is President Putin," Starmer said.

Sir Keir will press leaders to expand the delivery of long-range weapons following a productive operation on a chemical plant in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using British-supplied advanced weaponry.
